Australia look to repeat today's performance tonight in Under 20 Mens

Yes it is as confusing as it sounds.

The Under 20 Mens competition has been run as a round-robin, meaning that every team plays one another. The top two teams at the end of the round-rbbin proceed through to the final. 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw.

North Harbour sat in first place on 14 points - guaranteed a spot in the final, Australia a close second on 12, Marist third on 11, Hutt out of final contention in fourth place on 9.

Hutt won their game over CDM White, bringing them to 11 points and into the bronze medal match.

North Harbour took on Australia this morning - the game to decide who made the final. If Australia lost, it meant that Marist's final hopes were still alive, dependent on a win against Tau-Wai Taniwha. If Australia were to win, it meant that the final tonight would essentially be a replay of today's game...and that is exactly what has happened.

The young Australian team has taken it to North Harbour, beating them 6-7 here at Millennium. Australia's #12 Conor Wolohan top scored, putting 3 goals to his name and leading his team into the final.

Will the Australians repeat their performance at West Wave tonight? Or will North Harbour take the 2014 Pita Pit Under 20 Mens Panasonic Pan Pacific Championship? It will be an interesting game no doubt.
