Jake Lockwood from North Harbour opened the scoring on 6-5 with a crazy goal. The ball hit the bar, hit a CDM defender, and deflected into the goal.
Lockwood scored another, to see his team take an early lead.
WISE WORDS: NHB Assistant coach Dylan Smith talking tactics
CDM Polo 3 came back in the last three minutes of the quarter for a 2 all scoreline at the quarter break.
A slow quarter from both sides saw Harbour B's J. Collins and CDM's T. Roletter score one each for 3-3 into halftime.
Lockwood scored another for North Harbour B in the third. CDM's TJ Morton capitalised on a 6 on 5 opportunity to equalise, 4-4.
Another even quarter saw each team score one goal. With 10 seconds to play, North Harbour B's Finn Lowery call a time out. A shot from Lockwood was to no avail to make the final score 5-5, a fair score for the nature of the game.
