North Harbour B Girls continue to play in tenacious manner

After a great performance against Queensland last night, the North Harbour U16 B Girls were again pushed to the brink in today's semifinal for 13th-16th place against Waitakere Teal. At the end of regulation, the scoreline read 2-2, with goals to Waitakere's L. Evans and S. Harsla, and Harbour's Hannah Ngare and Tahlia Rawle. The game was pushed to sudden death - the first team to score would playoff for 13th and 14th place. Persistence from both teams saw what seemed like a never-ending game, as great defence, blocked shots and missed offensive opportunities turned into a 17 minute period of extra time, until Kaitlin Howarth Dawson from North Harbour was able to nail one into the goal to bring her team to a 3-2 victory.
