Final Act falls to North Harbour

As the curtain fell on the 13th Panasonic Youth Water Polo Festival in 2014, the final act fell to North Harbour with a strong finish to take the Under 18 Men's title.

With two solid performances today the North Harbour lads dispatched Marist Red in the morning's semi final by 8-5, before taking off in the second half in the final tonight to beat Canberra 10-5. It was three consecutive goals from Daniel Marsden from North Harbour that went on to earn him the MVP award.

Marist Red went on to capture bronze from Tauranga with a comprehensive 16-4 victory.

North Harbour Club was by far the overall achievers of the event capturing 4 titles- The Under 20 an 18 men's to go with the Under 14 and 16 Women's. They fell short of breaking North Harbour's record of five titles in 2010.

And so the final curtain has gone down on another successful Pan Pacific Youth Festival and we look forward to the 14th edition in 2016, 26 years after the inaugural event in 1990.
