Marist Blue defeat Canberra Academy A


An early jump start to the game saw Marist Blue up 4 - 1 after the first quarter. Although Canberra came out stronger in the second quarter winning it 2 -1 they still saw themselves down 5 -4 at half time. Sophie Swanney of Marist came out firing in the 3rd quarter excecuting 2 goals to raise the score to 7 - 4. Along with Sophie, Kelsey Snelgar and Victoria Hargraves both showed dominance in the offense also scoring 2 goals. Canberra Academies Zoe Stimson also managed to ignite the goal leading the team in the first half with 2 goals AND in the final second of the game saw huge celebrations from the crowd as the Canberra goal keeper Nicole Chaney scored a beautiful goal from behind halfway.

The final score Marist Blue 10 - Canberra Academy 5.
