Big Crowds for Millennium today...

AUS GOLD vs Waikato

Waikato came out strong taking an early lead 2 -1 after the first quarter and managed to hold AUS off on their attack heading into the second quarter only allowing them to execute 2 of their several attempts at the cage. A close game saw these two teams even heading into the second half 3 - 3.
Australia appeared to be off to a slow start this morning but once warmed up they released their fury upon Waikato who weren't able to adjust to this new found determination. With an incredible 9 - 0 second half Aus Gold took their victory with a final score of 12 - 3.
Grace Eglington once again top high scorer for Waikato. Australia showed another team effort with 7 girls jumping on the score board. Sophie Hodgson with 3 and Tess Jenkins, Lara Zimmerman and Meg Hudnott each with 2.

Hutt Crushers Vs Canberra Academy A

Narrow biting came all game down to the final half. With an even first half 1 - 1 Hutt Crushers came out firing in the 3/4 with Megan Gill firing up and scoring twice and Kennedy Ihaka also capatalising on an opportunity allowed Hutt Crushers to go into the final quarter 4 - 2. Canberra's Zoe Stimson had a great second half scoring 3 goals but unfortunately it was too little too late. Hutt took the victory 5 - 4

Cook Straigh Tsunamis Vs Marist U14 Girls'

With a scoreless first quarter the score remained 1 all heading into the second half. Both team showed great determination and more confidence appeared in the second half. The excitement grew with the packed support crew and so did the intensity of the game. Marist took the lead by 2 early in the 4th but Cook Straight scored decided to close the gap. Marist maintained their lead and scored another last second goal to raise the score 5 - 3.
