Waitakere Gold's counter attacks too strong for Canberra Academy A

Waitakere U16A Boys outshined Canberra Academy A with an impressive 18-3 win this morning.
Waitakere's #14 Iziah Mahe showed his strength on the team's foolproof counter attack, scoring an imposing 4 goals throughout the game.

Waitakere scored 7 goals from their counter attack, 4 goals from centre forward, 1 penalty shot (#8 R. Tahu), with the remaining goals coming from utilising their outside shot, especially on their 6 on 5 attacks.


Waitakere's #8 R. Tahu dominates his Penalty shot. 


Canberra Academy's #12 M. Dembecki shone throughout the game earning an unsuccessful Penalty Shot in the first quarter but came back fighting to score the team's first goal of the game from a 6 on 5 attack. While there were several good plays from the Australian side, Auckland's Waitakere Gold proved to be too strong for this match up.
