NSW U16 Girls with strong start in aim of claiming the repeat

The current Pan Pacific U16 Champion title holders (2012), NSW Girls, started their tournament off with a great game today at Diocesan Aquatic Centre, claiming a 17-0 victory over fellow Australian team Canberra Academy B Girls.
The NSW goalies C. Clark and E. Ryan revealed that the team’s major training focus on counter attacks and accurate crosspasses proved to be very beneficial for the team as they were able to execute all of their offensive opportunities, admitting that it will be a lot harder to finish their breakaways as strongly in tomorrow’s game against Tauranga A.
The NSW girls really enjoyed their first game against the younger Canberra side, but especially thrived on how well they were all playing together with “great team spirit” and “very encouraging teammates”, enabling them to keep up their communication throughout the match - a vital component of their game plan.
The NSW U16 girls next game isn’t until tomorrow evening, so the girls are all excited about visiting Waiwera Hot Pools during their time off in the morning.
