A little head start for our U16 competition saw a few of our Auckland teams battle it out at AUT Millennium this evening. Some big scores came out of this first round of competition. Starting with the U16 girls' where Waitakere Teal defeated Mountfort Park 6 -0.
Then over to the boys' which saw North Harbour B with a challenging first opening match against Marist Red. Final sore Marist 10 Harbour 1. Waitakere Gold showed similar strength defeating Mountfort Wolf Pack 11 -3 and so did North Harbour A with there 13 - 1 victory over Waitakere Teal.
Thse teams have definitely raised the bar and will be interesting to see how things unfold when the rest of the competition kicks off properly tomorrow.
